RE: Authentication 3 times and then HTTP error 401.1

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi Ger,

Thanks for your update.

For the command line :

"setspn.exe -a http/IIS_computer's_Netbios_name DomainName\Username"

The "IIS_computer's_Netbios_name" is the Netbios name of the computer which
is running the IIS. The username should be "network service" in your
scenario.

However, since the issue still persists after you try the work around, this
may not be the root of the issue. Please check other KBs and see if there
is any help.

If you encounter any difficulties or have any concerns, feel free to let me
know. I look forward to your update.

Best regards,

Jerry Zhao (MSFT)
