RE: Cannot send SMTP mail using Administrator account after SP1 for Ex

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hello Noel,
Without actually experiencing your problem, let me recommend instead that
you don't use "The" Administrator user account. The more you use it , the
more you'll risk exploitation if someone or something accesses the script
improperly.

There are two ways to address your situation...
- The security context your script runs in should be an account only with
enough privileges to do what it does. Ordinarily, such scripts don't need
Admin permissions, regular User permissions should be sufficient. Exchange
should read this security context and permit your app to send.
- Your script can specify a different security context than the default. Set
to something with sufficient permissions.

HTH,
Tony
