So if I understand correctly, it's also possible to connect the old harddisk
into the new server, make a copy of the .edb and .stm files (just for safe)
Stop the Exchange Information store service
Open Exchange System Manager
navigate to servers\servername\firststorage group
right ckick, propterties
Select the databasefolder where i copied the .edb and .stm files
go to mailboxstore
right click, properties
database tab,
check "the database can be overwritten..."
Do the same for the public folder store
Start Microsoft Exchange Information Store
in systemmanager richt click om mailbox store
choose mount store
also for the publice folder store
right click on mailboxes folder, run cleanup agent
After this, the mailboxes have a red cross, right click the mailboxes,
reconnect
