At least in theory, the users should be able to use the contacts and DLs by
entering their correct smtp addresses even if they don't appear in the GAL.
And, in any case where there's a big user impact, IMO the cost of a call to
PSS is justified. My guess is that we're both going to be irritated and/or
embarrassed when we see how simple the solution is.
It never occurred to me until now that you may not be running Exchange SP1.
Are you? If not, that would be one thing you could do before you get out
your credit card and phone book (BTW PSS is 800-936-4900).
