Re: RWW, Companyweb, Internet website and DNS configuration questi

Marina,

I followed the directions in the "Publishing a SharePoint Web Site
Accessible to External Users" document and that's when most of my trouble
started. Quite honestly, it has been so long since I did that set up, I
don't know what we changed after that. I think it would be best to go back
to the standard companyweb and Intranet settings, get that working and THEN
figure out where to go from there.

As you suggested I will not reinstall IIS. Just for clarification, I will
be going to Control Panel>Add Remove Windows Components>> THEN FIRST REMOVE
the companyweb and Intranet>> THEN REINSTALL?

These are the websites running on the server. I understand that the 5th is
a media store website that can be removed. I installed it to see what it
did, but know it's not important. There is no content in any of the sites so
none are important at this point.

Description - ID - State - Host Header - IP - Port - SSL
Default Web Site - 1 - Running - *All Unasigned* - 80 - 443
MS Sharepoint Admin. - 2 - Running - *All Unasigned* - 9270
Sharepoint Central Admin. - 3 - Running - *All Unasigned* - 8081
Companyweb - 4 - Running - companyweb - 192.168.31.1 - 80 - 444
Windows Media Admin. - 5 - Running - *All Unasigned* - 8080

Thank you for your continued help and support.

Steve
