Yeah, it's definitely not just you. I was actually using the same DNS
servers as you down here in new york. Now I use 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 and all
the problems went away. I initially changed my DNS servers to another set of
servers whose IP addresss was supplied to me by Verizon. These didn't work
either so I naively assumed that it wasn't Verizon DNS servers...when in fact
it was.
