Thanks again for the additional information, one thing that jumps straight
out is that this server is running Interscan 5.5 and it is normally left
logged on (but just locked). I will try running the backup while the console
is logged off, if this doesnt work I will run through your other
troubleshooting steps.
I will update this thread further when I have done this.
