Hi Tmesich,
Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.
I am not sure how you moved SBS 2003 from the old machine to the new one
but it seems there are some problems with these steps. Would you please
let me know the steps that you used to perform the moving process?
Currently, it seems the AD was corrupted during the movement. Please
restore it from your previous backup media to see if the issue disappears.
I look forward to your reply. Thanks again!
Best regards,
Crina Li (MSFT)

| I have been working at moving our SBS to new hardware by following
| instructions given here. It has been days now, and the structure is
barely
| standing. I believe that the cause of most of my problems is that the GC
and
| SYSVOL never did replicate to the new server so that it never did become
an
| active DC. It certainly was working to the point that I could add a user
to
| the old server and it would show up on the new server but Exchange never
| could authenticate and the System Attendant would not start. Now after
| trying to move everything back to the original server, it authenticated
| enough to get Exchange running but I cannot make the last change work
which
| is moving the recipient update service for the domain back. The search
| button will not see the domain. It says that the domain does not exist.
|
| I get the following message from netdiag /v.
|
| Domain membership test . . . . . . : Failed
| [WARNING] Ths system volume has not been completely replicated to the
| local
| machine. This machine is not working properly as a DC.
|
| I have spent days trying everything that I could find in msdn and google
and
| I have come to a dead end. I believe that the sysvol and dns are all
fine.
| Is there a way to tell the computer this? Thanks for any help.
