Re: Recommendation for USB 2.0 PCI card for PowerEdge 2600?

Slot 1 is the one at the very bottom, running at 33 Mhz (vs. 100 or 133 Mhz
for the other slots). Interestingly, slot 1 was the slot that my StarTech
card was plugged into. I bought an Adaptec card* and plugged it into slot 2.
Seems to be working fine. Unfortunately, I won't know whether the card or
the slot was the problem, but I'm more concerned with getting something to
work than figuring out what was wrong.

*I bought the Adaptec card at a local store 'cause I happened to be there
and figured I could trust the Adaptec name. I had gone to the ADS web site
looking for an "ADS Tech USBX-2000 EF," but I could only find a USBX-2000,
not a USBX-2000 EF. I sent an e-mail to ADS asking whether there was such a
thing as an EF and if there were any differences between the models, and I
never heard back from them. 8^(

Thanks again for the help.
