Generally, you can add the printer to the server and share it in the
domain. Or you can install the printer on a workstation and share it as
well. Also, you can install it on each client and server respectively. That
depends on your specific requirements.
 
However, if you do not have specific concerns, I would like to suggest that
you install the printer on the server and share it on the network. That
would make the centralized control of the printer easily achieved.
 
For your information:
 
You can publish a printer in AD, to do so:
 
1. Open control panel, printers and faxes. Right click on the printer you
want to share then select sharing.
 
2. Select "share this computer" and input the shared name. Then check the
"List In the directory".
