Gotta somewhat disagree here. I am not saying Trend is better or worse than
Symantec or visa-versa. I've been using Symantec since 1997 when they first
introduced an enterprise type product. I still use them to this date, mainly
because I am so familar with it. Everyone has glitches, including Symantec
and Trend. I always recommend "Symantec Antivirus with Groupware" to my SBS
clients. This includes Symantec Corporate Edition antivirus for the server,
Exchange and the workstations. I've never ran into an issue and it is a very
stable product. But why in the world would you need LiveUpdate
Administration on SBS, I don't even use it for my bigger clients? I think
you just don't understand what it does. You configure your server to
download the updates and it updates everything else. I can complete a
Symantec antivirus installation on a SBS server and all the workstation,
with all the configuration and reboots in less than an hour with no need to
look at a manual....and walk away with it working for years.....
I have not had the opportunity to use any of there hardware products but
have been very interested in the VPN appliance that won't let you connect
unless your antivirus is updated and then updates them for you.
