Well well that gives you pleanty of options with a quad channel controller.
But here is the drawback to your way. Adding two more drives is only going
to give you 80 gig total. Here's is what I would do. I of course would leave
the mirroed set. Buy three or four new drives and configure as RAID5 striped
set on a different channel. I would then move all my programs, apps and file
storage to the new striped set and just keep my OS on the mirrored set.
Or buy 2-16GB drives and 1 or 2 more 40GB drives. I would mirror the 2-16GB
drives and put only my OS onto that. Then I would take the 3-4 40GB drives
and move them to a seperate channel and stripe that set. This of course is
all dependant upon your flexability ith the system to do a new rebuild.
