Hi
We seem to be having a problem with our DNS configuration as when we run a
test it fails.
Our current setup is we have a SBS2k3 running ISA 2k, we have a
transparent/no-nat router in front of the server. It has two network cards
with the below configuration:
Internal NIC IP: 192.168.1.253, 255.255.255.0
Internal NIC Gateway: Blank
Internal NIC Perferred DNS Server: 192.168.1.253
External NIC IP: [My External IP], 255.255.255.248
External NIC Gateway: [My Non-NAT Router IP]
Extrenal NIC Perferred DNS Server: 192.168.1.253
We have DNS running on the which we had forwarders pointing towards our
ISP's (BT) DNS Servers IP Addresses. Now we have found that they are not
using these DNS Servers and they have provided us with the below servers, I
have resolved the IP Addresses for these and put them into the Forwarders
but the DNS fails when I test it within monitoring.
Primary server
dns01.gpn.register.com
Secondary server
dns02.gpn.register.com
dns03.gpn.register.com
dns04.gpn.register.com
dns05.gpn.register.com
Any advice would be much appreciated
thanks
B
