Hi Jon,
Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.
Based on the information you have provided, your POP3 Connector settings
seems like no problem. Let us unable the full POP3 Connector logging to
see what happened. To do that:
1. Try using another domain user email account to see if the issue still
exists.
2. Setting Maximum POP3 Connector log. To do it, follow these steps:
1) In Server Management Console, click POP3 Connector Manager.
2) Click Open POP3 Connector Manager.
3) Select "maximum" in service logging column in troubleshooting tab.
4) Select another Exchange mailbox in Undeliverable POP3 Mail column.
3. Backup and then clear the Application event log:
1) Select Administrative Tools and click Event Viewer.
2) In Event Viewer windows, right-click Application, select Save Log File
As to backup.
3) Right-click Application and select Clear all Events.
4) Reproduce the issue and paste the error messages in the Event log to the
newsgroup. You can remove the sensitive information.
If you have any questions regarding this post, please let me know. Thank
you.
Best regards,
Crina Li (MSFT)

| Hi
|
| I'm installing SBS2003 on a new server and wisely or otherwise, my
company
| wishes to receive all mail that is sent to our domain. On the
| Troubleshooting tab of the POP3 connector Manager Properties dialog, I
have
| set undeliverable mail to be sent to an exchange mailbox (user1) but this
| doesn't appear to have done the trick. user1 is successfully receiving
all
| messages sent to user1@domain.com but any mail sent to a non Exchange
| mailbox i.e. dummy@domain.com is being bounced back to the sender as
| undeliverable and not reaching user1. Am I misunderstanding the purpose
of
| the setting on the Troubleshooting tab ?
|
| Incidentally, for each mail sent to dummy@domain.com three files are
| appearing in c:\program files\exchgsvr\mailroot\vsi 1\badmail with the
| extensions .BAD .BDP and .BDR. The .BAD file appears to contain a copy of
| the bounced mail.
|
| I'd be very grateful for any help from the group.
|
| Jon
