Hi Ascnet,

Thanks for posting here and thanks for Tony's update.

As I understand, your issue is that you want to set permissions to files in
the folders or drivers. If I'm off base, please let me know.

To do so, you can create a user account, and then right click on the files
or the folder or even the drives, select properties. In the security tab,
set proper permissions to the user account.

Note:
If you want to set permissions to several users, you can create a user
group first, put the users into the group and then set the permission for
the whole group.

Just like Tony has mentioned, "My Computer" is simply a "Large Icon" view
of Windows Explorer. If you do not want to let some use see the files in
the folders or drives, you can get rid of the "list folder content"
permission for specific users
