Thanks everyone for your input on this topic. I have finished conducting my
tests and things went smoothly. I currently have my APC Smart-UPS 1500 set
to begin shutdown after 5 minuets of power failure and not turn power back
on until 60% battery power is charged. The server took close to 10 minuets
to finish shutting down completely. I know some have mentioned a good 5
minuets but mine was not that fast. I don't know if SQL caused the longer
shutdown or not. Around 5-7 minuets later the UPS powered the sockets again
and was ready to re-start the server.
