Hello all,
For several reasons (Hardware and software) I have had to rebuild my SBS
server. My backups were comprehensive, but I decided NOT to do a complete
restore but to rebuild the software from scratch and restore "user" files as
needed. Everything has gone fine until I try to formally bring the client
computers back into the SBS network.
The client computers are all W2Kpro (except one xp laptop) and have been
working fine whilst the server has been offline (Exchange cached mode).
Since bringing the Server back on line I have added the users and rebuilt
the exchange information. Now, when I try to connect the clients to the
Server it says (understandably) that the client is already a member of a
domain. The domain name is the same as it was before the rebuild so I was
kind of hoping that the server and the clients would be happy but alas.
Anyway, is there an easy way to reintegrate the clients (with active users
profiles etc) into the new server? What will I need to look out for when
reconnecting? will it mess the user profiles?
Any/all help appreciated.
Thanks
Stuart
