I appreciate you wanting to help and any assistance you may provide but your
suggestion is not valid in this case, there are features that this unit has
that a WAP does not that I require for this job.

In the interest of greater wireless security I am using the Netgear products
that utilize their "turbo" feature, you can set the router to only accept
systems that use this type of card so there is a narrower band of
opportunity for intrusion. They do not make a WAP with this feature.

So let us rule out the use of a different piece of wireless equipment at
this point in time and get back to the other issue.

If I cannot add a scope it seems that the only other alternative would be to
change the one that is in use now to one that "agrees" with this router.

Does any one see any issues I would run into if I did that?
