It is possible to add a second scope and a second NIC to the SBS, but I
would discourgae you from doing this because it creates a number of
complications that aren't obvious. In the design of MS Networking Service, a
DC holds a unique role in the network as the Master Browser of the segment
it is connected to with MS Networking Services. With a bit of research, you
would find that you should not have more than one NIC configured with MS
Networking bound on the NIC. Therefore, if you bind MS Networking to both
NICs, you will have domain browing problems, and it's basically impossible
to avoid this. Yet you can enable routing between the segments to overcome
the limitations imposed, and this still doesn't make more sense than using a
router to do the exact same thing. The bottom line is that using a DC as a
MS Networking enabled router is not a good idea, and you probably will
regret building that into your domain design. Doing it with a member server
is vastly simpler, as is using a $200 router.
