When I upgraded, some of the best advice I got from one of my fellow MVP's was to read the "Upgrade requirement messages...." doc from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/sbs/techinfo/productdoc/alpha.mspx. This lists all the errors you can run into during the upgrade, which will allow you to proactively take steps to prevent the problems beforehand.

While you're there, you can get the "Getting Started" and Release Notes - read both before starting.

I have a hard working sbs2000 server that I want to upgrade to 2003
Professional. This server runs Exchange, SQL, VPN and more.

    I have purchased 2003 Premium upgrade and 25 CAL's.

I wish to upgrade on the existing server. If I start the upgrade and
it fails to complete successfully, yours truly will be in deep trouble.

What advice can you give me so that I have an eventless upgrade?

Thank you so much for your time!

    Mark
