Hi,
Could I have your learned opinions on using Serial ATA Drives in SBS2003
Servers. I would typically use SCSI drives but the price/performance of
Serial ATA is very attractive. For an entry level server for up to 10 users
I am considering 2 X 80Gb or 160Gb HDD's on Hardware RAID 1 controller on
Intel SE7505VB2 Motherboard. Backup device will be Sony SDX-500 AIT2 ATAPI
drive.
Are their any known issues with my proposed configuration, in particular,
any involving switching/replacing drives if one fails ?
Your collective comments woill be very much appreciated.
Regards, Pete Smith.
