Check the settings of your NIC card that's connected to your DSL
cable/modem, and see if your NIC is set to "auto sense/ auto detect"
connection speed. If so, change it to Full Duplex 10MBps and see if that
helps. Also, check to make sure that the NIC card is not configured to power
off automatically if there's no activity.
