Yes, companyweb works OK

I assume this is the directory where the website contents reside, in my case
InetPub\Mydomainname

This directory has the permissions listed above.

I use the defaultAppPool

 4) Might check in \program files\microsoft sql server\mssql$sharepoint\log
 directory for the ERRORLOG file to see if it shows any errors.

I am getting this error every hour in the Events / Applications logs

Unable to connect to the database STS_DELL1600sc_507690611 on
DELL1600SC\SharePoint. Check the database connection information and make
sure that the database server is running.

There is no web listed in IIS with an Identifier of 507690611 so I dont know
what web it is referring to.
