Hi,
I'm having a bit of trouble with allowing applications to pass through my
SBS to the internet and intranet. I'm not to familiar with SBS yet or its
capabilities I'm not a network eng and know a little more than enough to be
dangerous. I would really appreciate any help anyone could give me.
1 of those applications need several ports opened both for in and out COMMS.
The applications themselves reside on a deticated pc within my private
network What I want to do is have my client app make a connection via my
static public Ip and Pass- thru my SBS to the appropriate server so that
clients outside of my office can connect to and use this app. I also would
like to keep the servers firewall inplace if posible to protect what everelse
it can.
How things are setup here:
I have 1 internet connection with a static ip that has a linksys router on
it (I allowed the server to reconfigure the router to allow remote
connections to it and it works....sort of)
All client machines connect via another linksys router and switch to the
server (including the aps server)
the aps machine and all other machines inside the network are available in
"my network places" and I can connect to them with WINVNC with no trouble I
dont have anything special setup anywhere.
