I wouldn't bother turning logging on until there's a problem that might be
explained by firewall blocking. Just keep in mind that the ability is there.

The firewall is supposed to give you a pop-up, asking if you want to allow
traffic or not when an application is blocked. Sometimes it doesn't, I don't
know why. I believe it's a configurable option; I've not researched it much.
