Hi Jerry,
I found the problem.
I have recently installed McAfee Protection Pilot and VirusScan Enterprise
v8.0.0 on the Server. Within the console there is Access Protection and there
is an option to prevent mass mailing worms from sending mail on Port 25. If
you edit and select inbound and add fxssvc.exe to "Excluded Processes" and do
the same in the group policy of Protection pilot it will now work.
I now just need to know what processes send me the alerts from the server,
as I will have to eclude these also.
The AV seems to block all messages been sent by the server to exchange.
Thanks for the prompt reply, and I hope this helps others.
