I tried several things. I ended up uninstalling Office XP first. I then
removed Exchange and deployed it again. The database then mounted and
worked. I then used Veritas Exchange connector to restore the individual
mailboxes. BUT, once I installed Outlook 2003 it then failed to mount
again. There was no Mount Store option at all, the option was greyed out
for both private and public stores. I then removed Exchange again, cleaned
up the folders, and re-installed Exchange. Now everything is working, but
users do not receive email for the domain even after I added the @domainname
in the Default Policy of Exchange System Manager. User has the correct SMTP
address configured as well. Users also cannot connect once Veritas restore
the users mailbox, only the original Administrator can connect to the users
folders. I just wish Microsoft would actuallly go out into industry and
test their upgrade software. The upgrade didn't come cheap, and really
caused more chaos than good. Thanks for responding.

following error code c1041721. I tried to re-install exchange and did not
work. I even reset the group policy on the DC and domain using dcgpofix
/Target:both. Please help. Thanks.
