Just a wild guess, but you could try uninstall ISA SP2, then re-install after
you upgrade.
Here is another alternative to the regular recommended procedures...
Go to Jim Harrison's isatools.org, download and run export_import. What that
utility will do is create a file that describes all the settings and objects
in your current ISA2K.
Now, if you wish you can even uninstall ISA completely, upgrade, re-install
ISA (with all patches) and re-run export_import to configure your ISA exactly
the way it was before. Note that if you disable and enable settings regularly
(not delete), export_import may not restore the state properly, you'll have
to doublecheck the right rules are enabled or disabled.
Before you remove the old ISA, I do recommend you do a little testing to be
certain you can restore objects which have been deleted.
This procedure is completely unsupported by anyone, use it at your own risk.
Regardless whether you base your entire upgrade strategy on this utility or
not though, I highly recommend running it anyway as an extra way to backup
and restore your ISA configuration.
