We have been using Exchange as an SMTP server since the very early days of
SBS 4.X. We are currently running SBS 2000 with Exchange 2000 and have had
no problems. Soon as I can get a free weekend we'll make the move to SBS
2003. Staying on top of patches and antivirus is part of the routine as it
is with workstations.
