Hello SG,
Well, I'm at a total loss now. A fresh install of the OS went fine...no
problems and I let it run a few days just to verify stability. I then ran the
SBS 03 setup, and sure enough the company web folder was totally empty when
done. Here is a break down of how I set everything up:
1) Installed OS. During setup did quick NTFS format on brand new SATA drive.
2) Installed latest device drivers for all devices (using ABIT ICG-7 board
with Intel 875 chipset and 1GB DDR 400). Intel P4 HT CPU.
3) Ran Windows Update and installed everything it found, with no problems.
4) After letting it run a few days no problem, ran SBS 03 setup. At the end
it reported that the intranet component install failed because of a problem
creating groups in active directory. Suggestion was to add test disttibution
group in active directory and rerun setup. I had no trouble adding the test
group, and then I reran setup. No errors that time, but companyweb is still
empty.
If you see something wrong with my sequence of steps, let me know...like
maybe I shouldn't be doing Windows Update before running SBS Setup?
