It is well discussed in many forums including here that RWW can work fine for
the OWA part, but when you attempt to connect to a desktop or server you get
the message that TSWeb ActiveX control cannot be downloaded.
This is clearly due to the security settings in IE.
But in all my searches I cannot find a definitive answer on WHAT security
settings need to be set TO what! On a remote computer I went into IE Security
Settings and set all 7 items under "ActiveX controls and plug-ins" to
"enable". Tried connecting to a remote desktop but same ActiveX msg. I then
tried adding my domain to the trusted sites list, but that did not fix the
problem. My trusted site was https:/server.domain.com.au/remote. Is that
enough? Or do I need more suffixes on this URL?
I go overseas for 4 weeks in 2 days, and am really depending on this feature
working.
I know many desktops I get to use will have IE locked down to various
degrees and I won't be able to change them, but lets first answer this in the
scenario where I have full access to the PC I am working from.
The correct answer to this, I think, will help MANY RWW users.
Thanks
