Still fiddling and no luck
1. this is a new install
2. I was wrong about the ping - can ping a good IP address but NOT a
hostname - so must be DNS issue??
3. called Verizon and per them should be server problem not ISP issue - that
seems correct to me??
4. the DNS addresses I entered are for DDNS (tzo.com) - tried tracert for
them and they time out after several lines?? shouldn't they trace to an end??
