We have our SBS2003 server hooked to DSL from SBC. I have the modem/router
from SBC configured as a bridge, and I run the connect to internet wizard to
configure the PPPoE settings on the server. If I leave the PPPoE on the
modem/router, I have VPN problems, so I need to use it as a bridge.
It works for between a couple hours to a couple weeks at a time, but will
eventually go down. To get it back up, I need to put the PPPoE settings
back in the modem/router, run the connect to internet wizard and tell it NOT
to use PPPoE, wait a while, then reverse the process to get VPN working
again. This has been going on for about 6 months. Is SBC terminating the
connection?
Where can I check to see if the PPPoE connection is connected when the
server is maintaining the connection? It isn't in the Network Connections.
Thanks,
Neil
