The problem orginally described seems to have been with the configuration of
the computer's internet browser trying to access the web portal of exchange.
When Safari was used instead of IE, everything worked. Go figure. Since I
wasn't there in front of the desktop, I was going only on the end-user's word
that everything was appropriately configured on their end.
In terms of the FTP server, I am only allowing specific users (two in this
case who are also remote users) to use one specific folder. It's not an open
share. Why, is there something you know that I don't with regards to running
FTP on SMS2003? Should I instead create a shared area in Exchange?
