Thanks for another quick reply.

I had looked in the Event Viewer for anything obvious, but it didn't seem to
be logging anything each time the error came up.

Good news, I've just attempted to re-install the whole Server Components,
rather than just Administration this time, and it seems to be working again
now. So who knows?

For your information, tt's now logging 3 events it didn't before when I
process for a new user:-
