what about that 'repair' word earlier in the thread ? If you did an OS
repair, things are in a bit of a 'mixed state', as you'd need to reapply all
sp's and patches and hotfixes. A restore might be more stable.

    ... misbehaved programs not releasing RAM etc... ... So what I wound up doing was to set up a task to reboot the ... there are some 3rd party print drivers ... This server is also our Symantec antivirus server ...
