We also ran a dual SBS (2k) system with a Novell 4.11 box for about 3 years;
we accomplaished what you want to do by making the MS logon the primary
logon and we ensured all user accounts and passwords were duplicated on both
servers. We had two sets of scripts running and of course all workstations
had the MS IPX client rather than the Novell beast (which caused some issues
on older machines.) Just this year we have retired the Novell box and
migrated the data to a new HD on the SBS box. We have removed the IPX client
and edited the logon script to point to the new drive. All is working well -
in January the SBS2k system is being upgraded to SBS2k3. So in short yes,
you can ran duplicate logons, but as MTBoxTech suggests, I'm not sure why
you'd bother.
