I'm sure there is a long list of reasons why 2003 is better than 2000, but
here are the ones I think of first: for a variety of reasons, Windows
Server 2003 is much more secure and somewhat more reliable than Windows 2000
Server. SBS 2003 will be supported longer than 2000. And most important
IMO, while further development is happening on 2003, it's not on 2000. With
2003, you'll continue to get improvements to the product including both
security and features.
As an example, I'm looking at the 2k newsgroup with under 3,000 messages and
this group with about 14,500. This product is where you'll find all the
action :-)
You can still get some information about the old version at
http://www.microsoft.com/sbserver/. The new version is at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/sbs/default.mspx.
