Any additonal recommendations, or reports back on this above-mentioned issue
& resolution would be appreciated and may assist me in my predicament...

I am absolutely confused with administrative and configuration aspects of
Folder Redirection, Roaming profiles, Offline Files/Folders and SBS 2003. I
am having great difficulty finding appropriate documentation. The advice that
the esteemed MVPs mention in this newsgroup seems to totally differ from the
default 'out of the box' wizard setup that SBS 2003 provides/suggests. Please
if you could clarify/assist in relation to my issues as follows..

My situation:

Mix of PC and laptop users (need offline files/folders) that often swap PCs
or use office PC instead of laptop (need roaming profiles). SBS enabled My
Docs folder redirection automatically (as far as I can recall!) We have SBS
2003 Standard with all latest & greatest patches (not Windows Server 2003 SP1
as yet!) and all XP SP2 workstations..

Last time I checked in XP Profile Manager, My 'personal account' Roaming
User Profile was maxed out at 999 M on the server (1G disk quotas), I get
Administrator Account 'userenv' errors Event Id 1030 in Event Log, My Docs
Offline Folders will not keep files & folders that I DO delete, deleted -
they keep on coming back no matter whether they're deleted online or offline
or on local offline profile or from actual server copy.. also Offline
Sydnchronisation kicks in annoyingly whenever I boot my laptop.. even when
out of the office.. very annoying as you cannot stop unless you totally
disble Logon/Logoff Sychronisation which I have now disabled..

My Docs seem to be in same spot on server, inside each user's Profile
directory: //{servername}/Users Shared Folders/{username}/{username} Documents

Should I redesign the entire directory structure and seperate the User
Profiles from My Docs storage? How should I do this? Why should I do this and
shouldn't this work without tinkering as I don't want a non-standard SBS
setup and certainly don't want any system downtime or further
complications...

I recently disabled Shadow Copies and increased disk quotas to 2G on the
server drive that hosts the User directories, I checked my server and local
copy of profile and they were both at 3.4G (too big!), I'm boggled!

I want to resolve the whole thing once and for all... allow Roaming Users,
keep My Docs files/folders deleted (that I want deleted!), ensure profiles
are kept to a minimum size, ensure that I can use local My Docs when off
network & Offline synchronisation occurs only when online on office network
(not VPN either!). Am I asking for too much?
