We have a small network that runs Windows 2003 SBS. I have GPO's
inplace to restrict what users can and cannot do. If some of the users want
to change the way Windows "looks" how do I do this? Currently, per the
owners instructions, users cannot change any of the settings. But, he has
told me that for this one person I should make the change. The only way I
know how to do this is to turn off the GPO, make the changes and then turn
it back on. The GPO doesn't force the setting to be a certain way, only to
not allow changes. So, this works, but I was wondering if there is a better
way. Can you some how log on to the machine as the user with administrator
rights to make the changes? Any thoughts?
