Remote Access

I can remote to our external ip but using the url can not get access page
cannot be displayed is showing. When I get in with the ip address (Static)
and try to connect to a server there is a java error, "Invalid procedure call
or argument", showing which looks like a DNS type problem.
Do I have to register with my ISP the third level address ie.
www.skip.myserver.co.uk (FQDN)with the domain name being myserver.co.uk and
sbs server being called skip or have a redirect on it.
