Right click on My Computer. Left click on Properties. Go to the Computer
name tab. Click on Change and input new name there. For a cleaner and more
efficient way I like to remove the computer from the domain and join a
Workgroup. Reboot. Rename it in the Workgroup. Reboot and then come back and
join the domain with the new computer name. Either way is fine.
