Hi.
I restored the server 'step by step'. Heh ... I restored first some
directories from C:\, later other dirs from C:\, D:\, ...
This way I avoided the message related to corupted backup file.
Unfortunately after rstarting my vmWare virtual machine the Win2003 SBS
doesn't boot any more. During OS loading I get an message from vmWare:
'Virtual machine kernel stack fault (hardware reset) ...'. After
pressing Ok, the VM reboot.
I guess that this problem is related to HW. On the 'real server' I have
SCSI disks on IBM HW RAID controller, whiles I'm using IDE disk in my
vmWare.
However I read in the backup / restore document that restoring of the
SCSI based system to IDE based system is possible.
Any sugestion? How can I be sure that the restore in case of disaster
will work? :(
BTW: I still have a question regarding backup testing (without restore).
Best regards,
Dezo
