Hello all!

My new SBS is running great! Thanks to all that helped me when I had
questions initially.

I have one for you:

My boss doesn't like to work on his desktop computer, he wants to work
on his laptop (XP Pro). Today, I installed Great Plains and PSQL.2000
on his laptop, but in order for him to access our database, he has to
join the domain (I can't access the translation location unless he is
a member of the domain).

I had nothing but trouble, so I restored his computer back to before I
joined the domain.

When he logs onto his laptop his username is Patrick, no password.
His username on the network is pat with a password.

The problem: After I copied his profile to the local account. I used
the connectcomputer wizard, but when I went to set him up after I
chose his name and profile, there was no computer (I had set it up as
PAT004 in AD). I checked his computer name, and the name is
Pat004.local or something like that, I can't remember exactly), but
it's also PAT004. I copied his folder and backed up his outlook to the
server and thought I would try this a different way. I just copied his
Patrick folder to the Pat folder. When I tried to log in as pat, the
computer hung up. That's when I restored his computer back to before
the join domain.

Any suggestions? I would really appreciate it. I can't believe
something so simple could end up so frustrating.

Thanks,

Julie
