Actually this will sound silly.

You did say an MDB file right?

Your exchange is EDB unless of course the previous bit was a typo.

I've seen the database hit the 16 gig cap with a 12 gig filesize. I'm
guessing it's 16 gig of uncompressed data inside a 12 gig compressed EDB
database I had to deal with. But if anybody can confirm / deny that one let
me know.

You could always export the database clean. Making a blank database is the
easy part. The nasty bit is building the "AllAccess" security group, adding
Administrator to it and then granting the Group full access rights on the
individual mailboxes. Only way I found to make EXMERGE work properly on the
server.
