We have 4 computers including the server. All client computers use WinXP Pro
operating system, server uses sbs2003. The other day we added a workstation.
Plugged it into the network, went to http://server/connectcomputer. We
received an error message that said the system admin needed to install the
"Client Deployment" package. So I went to the server, add/remove programs,
windows components, and there were some boxes for various components checked.
I just clicked next hoping that what I needed would be installed. I went back
to the new client computer during this time and found out that I had plugged
in the wrong network card. I switched the LAN cable to the correct NIC on the
client and went back to the server to cancel the installation of the windows
components.
I don't know if canceling the installation of these windows components
created our problems. I do know that no one can send/receive emails from
outlook, and nobody can access the company website @ http://companyweb
Please Help, Thanks
