The latest version of the profile, either on ther server or on the
workstation (under documents and settings) will be the final merged copy
in use and finally copied back to the server.

This means your edit (Moving a file) might have come unstuck if the
profile sync process thought it knew better.

It also can be affected by offline folders and syncronisation. Are you
using offline files ? If you have Windows XP you likley are.
