It is not recommended to have any in use database in a share that you
use offline, however if you like me need to keep simple personal access
databases in your my docs you can change the following in group policy.
I would say however that you can (or will) loose data if it is a file
that will be accessed from more than one location or more than one
person regualy. So best to avoid it unless it is simple personal files
(I also have a backup .pst file in my docuemts so it gets synced)
run gpedit.msc
Head to computer configuaratio, administrive templates, network, offline
files, and change files not cached to *.!!! then offline files will
cache all of them.
I still think you should just not do it unless it is something they will
just read back later then delete. Not something that is edited multiple
times.
