HI Julietta,
These should be the steps, you are on the right track :) I snipped the first
part of your procedure.
Check that you have the workstations setup on the SBS2003 Server. At this
stage you can add applications to the setup procedure e.g. Acrobat Reader
User Profile Heap Clean etc. If network printers are installed on the server
they will be pushed down to the computers.
<snip>
1. Log into the users computer locally, if there is not a local account, I
have to create one.
2. Log out, and then in as the administrator (me), copy the nt user profile
to the local user folder
3. Change over to DHCP (everyone has a static IP address), reboot computer
<endsnip>
4. Logon as administrator make sure computer is getting ip address from
SBS2003 server and dns points to same. (very important, crucial even)
5. Open Start>Run type http://sbs2003servername/connectcomputer
6. Move through the wizard select the computer name you want to use and the
local profile you want to convert and it should be done. Computer
automatically reboots when done.
7. Logon as the user and install any applications pushed down from the
server.
Once you have done the first one you should be able to go from computer to
computer 10 minutes each :)
