the main conflict with installing Outlook 2003 onto a system running a
previous version of Office is that the user will NOT be able to use
Microsoft WORD for their email editor program.
as to your question about adding computers, when you join a current computer
to the domain, it will create a new local user setup on the workstation.
That means, things like desktop settings, etc may appear to have
disappeared. Suggest you work through it on a trial Win98 computer first.
Also, Microsoft has a free utility called F.A.S.T. for transfering files and
user settings. I think it works with Win98, but I don't know off the top of
my head.
